Deputy Head of HR
THE COMPANY Our client, a large, rapidly expanding educational facility is seeking an experienced Deputy Head of Human Resources to join their existing team. You will report directly to the Head of Human Resources. THE ROLE Reporting to the Head of HR, this represents an exciting opportunity to lead a small team providing a pro-active and customer focused HR service to managers and staff. You will provide expert advice and manage a range of complex employee relation issues including disciplinary, grievance and capability and have a central involvement in organisational change issues. As well as lead responsibility for day to day operational employment activities in a multi-union environment, you will manage your own employee caseload and help steer the development of HR policies and the department?s longer term strategy. KEY RESULT AREAS ? Employee Relations ? Recruitment, Selection, Retention, Termination of Employment ? Remuneration and Benefits ? Management of HR staff KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED ? Experience of managing departmental budgets; ? An appropriate qualification (CIPD or equivalent) or completing; ? A knowledge or experience of the education/public sector (desirable) ? The benefit of experience in supporting cultural change within an organisation; ? An awareness and understanding of organisational executive information systems relative to staff resources, utilisation and business needs is advantageous.
