Lectureship/Senior Lectureship in Neuroscience - Bristol Based in the Department of Anatomy, you will support and enhance the Department's academic activity. You should have a higher degree and a proven record of significant achievement in Neuroscience research, preferably within an area that complements the multidisciplinary research of the MRC Synaptic Plasticity Centre based in the Department. The post also carries some teaching and administrative responsibilities, and ideally you would have a background appropriate to the teaching of Anatomy in the Medical and Dental programmes. Research Technician - mechanism of human lung injury and repair
An exciting job opportunity has arisen for an individual to play a significant support role as a Research Technician contributing to a programme of research into mechanism of human lung injury and repair. The post is full-time (35 hours per week), and is funded for a period of 12 months. You will contribute to studies investigating the contribution of inflammatory mediators and growth factors to the activity of a variety of human lung cells. You will join the Lung Research Group based at the Lifeline Centre at Southmead Hospital, and will work with, and be supervised by, Professor Ann Millar. Capable of working on your own initiative and as part of a team, you will be IT literate, have excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to relate to and empathise with the adult learner.
