Parks and Open Spaces Reading Borough Council and its partners are working together to deliver the ‘Sport Reading’ Vision – ‘To promote and deliver sport and physical activity for all sectors of the Reading community, from encouraging participation for health benefits through to developing our future athletes and world champions’. Our Leisure facilities at Prospect Park include seven brand new Astro-turf pitches, three Astro-turf tennis courts and acres of wonderful parkland for all the community to enjoy. These roles are based at Prospect Park and will be key in delivering our vision. Are you physically fit with an interest in sport? Would you like to join a small team providing excellent customer service? We are looking for a number of highly motivated individuals to help us run these fantastic facilities at Prospect Park. You will be responsible for ensuring facilities are made ready for customer use and maintained to a high standard – delivering the very best customer service at all times. You must be able to demonstrate the following: • the ability to be a good team worker • a willingness to work evenings and weekends • the ability to undertake manual handling tasks for which you will need to be physically fit • the ability to deal with customers in a calm and understanding manner • the ability to understand and follow procedures.
